Sparking Creativity
Led by Carol Hohle
March 9 - May 29, 2009
All Saints Parish, 1773 Beacon Street, Brookline
Make the journey this spring that renews your creativity and nurtures your inner voice. Based on The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron, "Sparking Creativity" is a twelve-week course designed to discover, uncover and recover your creative self.
You don't need to be an artist per se, or a writer. The course is about creative expression – feeling creative, confident and whole – in all that you do. Each week you'll read one chapter of The Artist's Way and engage in "morning pages" (daily journal writing) and other exercises such as artist's dates, recalling nurturing experiences and buried dreams, creating sacred space for retreat and reflection, and generating lists of possibilities. The course is particularly recommended for anyone in transition or needing a fresh outlook. It will develop your self-awareness and spark your creativity.
"Sparking Creativity" runs from March 9 - May 29, 2009. Participants will do individual work based on The Artist's Way program. During this time the group gathers on six Wednesdays to check in and share how the individual work is going. Those Wednesday dates are March 18, April 1, 15, & 29, May 13 & 27. Time: 7 to 9 PM
Fee: $250.

Are you becoming aware of the need to reduce the size and weight of your footprint on the Earth? Are you exploring ways to live a more sustainable life?
Come join Carol Hohle, Founder and Executive Director of Inspiration House, as she shares her personal ecological conversion experience in an interactive lecture and workshop that explores the inner workings – the shift in consciousness – that facilitates the outward expression of sustainable life choices. Beginning with the issue of humanity's misguided drive to consume we'll explore ways to "right size" our lives and consider how a "less is actually more" approach can result in a happier, more fulfilling life. We will also explore spiritual practices that are vital to an eco-consciousness, including the benefits of humility, gratitude, openness, and a new way of thinking about self (a "we self" rather than an "I self").
Fee: $60
